Thinking About Driving a Class A Vehicle?
Here's Why You Should.

Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) is required for anyone seeking to operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) that need a CDL or certain endorsements. For those aiming to drive a Class A vehicle, the benefits go beyond just getting licensed:

  • Higher Earning Potential – Class A drivers often earn more, especially for long hauls, specialty loads, or high-demand routes.
  • Greater Job Opportunities – With a Class A CDL, you can access over-the-road (OTR), regional, and local jobs across the country.
  • Job Security – There’s strong demand in industries like freight, manufacturing, and agriculture.
  • Travel and Independence – OTR driving gives you the opportunity to see the country while working independently.

To earn your Class A CDL, you must complete theory and behind-the-wheel training and pass a skills test. Smart Horizons' theory training meets all federal ELDT standards and is reported to the Training Provider Registry (TPR).

Please FORWARD this email to anyone you think could benefit from the information.
Online curriculum tracks and individual lessons are also available without reporting.
