I spent the morning diving into data in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) Fatality and Injury Reporting System Tool (FIRST) to see if there are any new trends in pedestrian deaths on Halloween. Based on data from 2006-2020, October 31 still marks the most deadly holiday for pedestrians. We are roughly two weeks away from Halloween, but PLEASE remember to be especially aware when driving around the holiday!

A Halloween Public Service Announcement
Please remember to be alert while driving on Halloween. Many children are expected to be out-and-about because of the holiday. Slow down, remain vigilant, and be aware of your surroundings.

Navigating Through Roundabouts
A Roundabout is a one-way circular intersection without traffic signals in which traffic flows around a center island that operates with yield control at the entry points, and gives priority to vehicles within the Roundabout. Roundabouts move traffic safely and efficiently through an intersection.
